We prepare you to get accepted into the college or university that is the best fit for you. At our purposely small school you will discover your special talents and gifts, know what your options are after high school, and how to be successful after college.
We do this while nurturing a spirit of generosity in our students, promoting America’s founding principles, and imparting 21st century skills for living well in an interconnected world.Citizen...Scholar...Artist
Gateway School of Arts & Sciences is an open-enrollment public charter school offering grades K - 8 on one 40 acre campus to students in Williamson County and north Travis County areas.
Gateway School of Arts & Sciences is known for its exceptional academic program. An abundance of College Board Advanced Placement (AP) and Pre-AP courses are offered. All courses are taught by certified and “Highly Qualified” teachers as defined by the No Child Left Behind Act. There is NO TUITION to attend Gateway and enrollment is open to all students until available seats have been filled.
Smaller and more intimate by design, Gateway School of Arts & Sciences offers a public school education that feels and functions like a private school. With a senior class capped at 100 students each year -- Gateway School of Arts & Sciences is about 1/8 to 1/4 the size of other area public high schools. This smaller size is critical, because it offers a “human scale” to the learning environment, and allows students greater access to teaching staff, resources, and school activities.
Conceived around the ideal “Citizen, Scholar, Artist,” Gateway School of Arts & Sciences represents some of the best thinking in educational innovation. We differ from the large traditional high school model in several ways. Our smaller student body, incorporation of the "blended-learning", "flipped-classroom" instructional techniques, open-concept "green school" campus and full integration of new technology to enhance the learning experience set us apart.
Gateway School of Arts & Sciences is a member of the University Interscholastic League (UIL), the organization primarily responsible for offering sound, educational extracurricular activities to Texas public school students for over 100 years. As a UIL member, Gateway South competes against UIL assigned district schools and schedules non-district competition with local private, parochial and public schools that have a similar size student body. A comprehensive UIL program is offered in fine arts, robotics, and academics in elementary through high school.
Gateway School of Arts & Sciences is a part of the Orenda Charter School District. Orenda Education is the sponsoring entity for the Orenda Charter School District. Orenda Education is a non-profit educational organization incorporated in 1995 and headquartered in Georgetown, Texas.
